Evidence Based Medicine - first of many

Troubled mind. That's what I (and Janis Joplin) gather from the cardiology state of mind. Hard to believe, isn't it, that evidence based medicine has stopped short of the biggest issue: Medicine as an art cannot be confined to practice guidelines. There is no space for imagination in guidelines, no space for art, for individualized medicine. And those of you out there sharing the same thoughts are probably been called heretics. But no, stand up! Heretics are those who try to make medicine flat!
